Promotion and Graduation Policy
The minimum passing grade from 1st to 2nd semester is GPA 2.00 (D), from 2nd to 3rd semester is GPA 2.25 (C) and from 3rd semester and onwards it is GPA 2.50 (C+). The overall performance of a student is expressed in terms of grade point average (GPA). A student having a CGPA 2.50 without any âFâ in any course shall normally be awarded the degree.
Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction is English and, therefore remedial courses are offered and continue till the students attain fluency in writing and speaking.
Grading System:
University Grant Commission (UGC), the highest regulatory body of the Universities of Bangladesh. It is also responsible to maintain and ensure the quality of higher education. For this purpose, the UGC has prescribed a uniform grading system for the universities to follow. World University of Bangladesh follows the grading system recommended by UGC.
