Biography

Tamanna Sharmin Mazumder has been serving as a faculty member at the World University of Bangladesh since January 2023. She holds a Master’s degree (Thesis Group) in Economics from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh.

She began her academic career with the Bangladesh Cadet College Service, where she served as a faculty member at Joypurhat Girls’ Cadet College and Mirzapur Cadet College. She subsequently joined Eminence College, a sister concern of the Daffodil Group, as a faculty member.

Her research interests include Bangladesh economy,gender inequality, poverty alleviation, environmental poverty, and gendered vulnerabilities to climate change. She has experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and is committed to student mentorship, academic research, and community-based research initiatives.
