WUB Tourism and Hospitality Management Department Participates in National Rally to Mark World Tourism Day 2026

and students of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management at World
University of Bangladesh (WUB) actively participated in a National Rally organized by the Bangladesh Tourism Board (National Tourism
Organization) on September 27, 2026, to mark World Tourism Day 2026.
The global theme
for this year’s World Tourism Day, declared by UN Tourism, is “Digital
Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism.” The theme
highlights the growing role of digital innovation and artificial intelligence
in shaping the future of the global tourism industry.
The National
Rally commenced at 8:45 AM at Parjatan
Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka. Around 50
students from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, WUB,
participated in the rally with enthusiasm and dedication under the guidance of
faculty members Umme Honey Nidhi,
Lecturer; Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, Lecturer; and Md. Istiaq Mohammad Shuvo,
Lecturer, all from the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management,
WUB.
Prior to the
rally, official T-shirts and caps
were distributed among the participating students. The students took part in
the rally carrying vibrant banners highlighting the potential, sustainable
growth, and future prospects of Bangladesh’s tourism industry.
Reflecting the
theme of World Tourism Day 2026, the participation also emphasized the
importance of digital transformation
and artificial intelligence in tourism, particularly in creating
innovative, sustainable, and future-oriented opportunities for the sector.
Throughout the
event, the faculty members and students of WUB demonstrated discipline,
enthusiasm, and professionalism, contributing to the successful representation
of the university at this national-level tourism event.
The Department of
Tourism and Hospitality Management at World University of Bangladesh regularly
encourages its students to participate in national and industry-level events,
providing them with opportunities to connect academic learning with practical
experiences and gain greater exposure to the professional tourism and
hospitality sector.
